Connect Kit and choose a class tag

Connecting Kit and choosing a class tag are separate steps. The connection gives TeachKit access to your Kit account; the tag tells TeachKit where to organize enrollments for a particular class.

Connect Kit

1. Open Connections under Your account.
2. Find Kit under EMAIL LIST SERVICES and select Connect.
3. Complete Kit's authorization flow and return to TeachKit.
4. Check that the button now says Disconnect.

Connections is a creator feature. If you have a learning account, start teaching before looking for creator integrations.

Choose a tag for a class

1. Open the class from Your Classes.
2. Choose Email Marketing in the class editor.
3. Choose an existing Kit Tag from Select a tag.
4. Select Save changes.

The editor notes that a paid Kit plan is required. Create the tag in Kit if you need a new one, then return to the class editor. You can use different tags for different classes and build your follow-up automations in Kit.

What to expect

When a student enrolls in a free class with a saved tag, TeachKit attempts to create the subscriber using their email and name, then apply that tag. A Kit connection alone does not assign every student to a class-specific segment. There is no automatic historical backfill control in this screen.

Do not rely on this free-enrollment integration as confirmation that paid purchasers were added to Kit. Check your Kit audience and arrange the paid-class workflow you need before launching an email sequence.

If a subscriber or tag is missing

Check the connection, the tag saved on that particular class, and the student's email. Enrollment can succeed even if the Kit request fails. Confirm the subscriber in Kit before sending follow-ups or assuming an automation ran.

Select Disconnect on the Kit card to remove the connection. Manage existing subscribers and automations directly in Kit.
