Use the Launch Checklist
Follow the steps from your teacher profile to a published class.
The Launch Checklist brings your first class setup into one place. Open Launch Checklist in the workspace navigation, or visit the checklist.
Work through your first class
- Update your profile with a photo, display name, and bio.
- Add your class title, topic, and thumbnail.
- Write the public description and enrollment instructions.
- Connect a video provider, or prepare a supported iframe embed.
- Add your lessons and supporting resources.
- Optionally add a completion call to action.
- Review the class and publish it from Basic Info.
The checklist links take you to the relevant setting or editor page. You can return to a step after leaving the checklist. The workspace also shows your next unfinished step while onboarding is in progress.
Understand completion
TeachKit checks saved profile and class details to recognize progress. Some steps can also be marked complete manually. A checkmark is an organizational aid, not a guarantee that a video plays or a checkout works. Review your class before sharing it.
The automatic checks look for your avatar, name, and bio; a class with a title, topic, and thumbnail; enrollment instructions; a connected YouTube, Vimeo, or SproutVideo account; a lesson with a title and embed; a call-to-action URL; and a published class. You can use supported custom embeds without connecting one of those accounts, and the call to action is optional.
Before you publish
If you charge for access, configure Payments separately. If you want a limited enrollment window, configure Registration. Neither is a reason to skip checking the public landing page and the lesson view.
