Troubleshoot saving and previewing a class

Check saved state, video restrictions, and learner access before sharing a class.

A class can look correct in the editor and still need a learner-view check. Work through the relevant section below before you publish or share it.

A change did not save

Most class settings use Save changes. After editing, choose that button and wait for the saved status or confirmation. The lesson editor saves its changes automatically; wait for its save status before switching lessons or closing the tab.

If a save fails, keep the editor open, check your connection, and copy any unsaved text somewhere safe before refreshing. Read the displayed validation message. A class title, URL, date, or required setting may need attention. Opening the class in a second tab does not guarantee that unsaved edits will appear there.

If you are signed out, sign in again with the same teacher account, then reopen Your Classes. Editing requires the account that owns the class.

A video is blank or unavailable

Use a supported HTTPS iframe or a video chosen from a connected provider. A normal sharing URL is not the same as iframe embed code. Check custom video embeds for the supported hosts.

Check the video on its hosting service. It may be deleted, still processing, private, or restricted to particular embed domains. Test as a viewer who is not signed into the hosting account. Connecting the provider does not override its privacy or playback restrictions.

If a library search stops working, check Connections and reconnect the affected provider if necessary. Before disconnecting, make sure you can sign into the intended provider account again.

The class is not open to learners

Open Basic Info and check Status. Draft is for work in progress. Published makes the class available according to its enrollment settings. Closed prevents new enrollment. Save after changing the status.

Check Registration for start and closing dates, and Payments for whether the class requires a purchase. Existing enrollment, teacher ownership, and public access are different states. A teacher preview does not prove that a new learner can enroll.

Review the complete path

Use the public class link to inspect the landing page. Confirm the title, image, instructions, lesson list, and enrollment message. In an appropriate test account, check the lesson video, action items, links, downloads, and final call to action. Use only a provider's test mode for payment testing when available; a live checkout can create a real charge.

For help, include the public class URL and the exact failing step in a support request.
